Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
The Certificate dedicates to captains, deck officers, machines of merchant ship, sailors or other crew members of merchant vessels assigned to functions in the management of survival craft and non-rapid rescue boats.
This course of non-rapid rescue boats and survival craft helps to train students by enabling them to:
- Handle rescue devices and take over a survival craft or rescue boat
- Operate with a survival craft motor
- Organize the survivors in a survival craft
Pre-requisite experience:
Basic Safety Traning.
Duration:
32 hours (18 hours of theory and 14 hours of practice)

- Fundamentals of Ship Theory.
- Maneuver of Minor Vessels.
- Ship Safety and Prevention of Pollution.
- Maneuvre, Regualtions and Signals.
Qualifications:
Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boat – STCW Reg VI/2 para 1 & Sec A-VI/2 para 1-6.
