STCW PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOATS

The STCW Survival Craft and Non-Rapid Rescue Boat Certificate is intended for Masters, Bridge and Engineer Officers of merchant vessels, and Seamen or other crew members of merchant vessels who are assigned duties in the operation of survival craft and non-fast rescue boats.

TITLE ISSUANCE

This non-rapid rescue boat and survival craft course aims to train students by enabling them to:

  • Handle life-saving devices and take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat other than a fast rescue boat.
  • Operate a survival craft engine.
  • Organize the survivors inside the survival craft after abandonment.

The program complies with the official regulations (BOE-A-2012-3857) of March 19, 2012, in compliance with the STCW-2010 Convention Training Code, the content of which is contained in Annex I, which develops the standards of competence of Table A-VI/2-1 of Section A-VI/2 of the Training Code, as amended.
