These are the online theory  courses for the RYA qualifications we offer in Yacht Point.

The courses are taught by Navathome, a center recognized by RYA for specialized courses in online courses.


Marine Radio SRC VHF online

The Short Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of the VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British flagged vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio. This includes both fixed and hand held equipment using International channels.

Yachtmaster Theory Online

This course will take your theory knowledge to the level required to pass Yachtmaster™ Coastal and Yachtmaster™ Offshore practical exams.

PRE-COURSE REQUIREMENTS:  Day Skipper level Theory

Day Skipper Theory Online

The RYA Day Skipper Theory Online Course is an introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers. This course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.

Pre-course Requirements: There is no pre-course knowledge required

Ocean Yachtmaster Theory Online

This course is for those aspiring to blue water cruising and is ideal for those who hold the Yachtmaster Offshore certificate and are preparing for their first ocean passage.

PRE-COURSE REQUIREMENTS:  Prior to the course your navigation skills should be at the standard of the Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore shorebased course.

RYA Professional Practices & Responsibilities (PPR) online

The Professional Practices & Responsibilities Course is aimed yo those people who want to use their RYA qualifications professionally, as captain or crew member. Whetr your work onboard as a professional sailor/captain or crew member you will have a responsibility with the passengers and your crew.
You must learn to handle any sort of situations, in case something goes wrong.
